Giving non-modelers a chance to control a live R/C airplane is arguably the most popular thing we do at the annual Open House. It’s also fun and rewarding to be a part of the process as an instructor pilot or … Continue reading

Member news

Last week I learned that fellow HCH member Rich Haario had passed away in November. I was sad to hear this news because Rich was a super nice guy always willing to talk about R/C or life in general when he came out to the field. Continue reading

A good deed

While doing a little spring cleaning at the field prep party in April it was quickly decided that the easiest way to deal with the box of returnables from the previous season was to donate them. Those cans were given to the Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club @ Mott Community College.

Just recently had a chance to turn those over to the club and below is thank you letter that was forwarded to me to share with HCH members.

I would like to take this moment to thank you for the donation of the returnables to the MCC Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club. This donation will help our current drive of raising money for the club to attend a Physical Therapy conference in the fall semester.

The pop cans we received from you came to a total of $16.20 This may not seem like much, but every little bit helps. If you know of others willing to donate returnables we would gladly make arrangements to pick them up at any location.

Thank you again
